Back from Udon Thani with one belief reinforced: good opportunities usually start with people.
Last week, I had the opportunity to speak to YPC Udon Thani on:
“Connecting People, Creating Opportunities.”
But instead of talking about networking or business in the conventional sense, I wanted to talk about what happens before the opportunity.
Noticing people.
Listening.
Building trust.
Introducing two people who should know each other.
Creating rooms where people can be themselves.
And sometimes, simply making friends before you need them.
I believe the best connections don’t begin with a transaction.
Many of the most valuable things in my life and work didn’t begin with a business plan. They began with a conversation, a friendship, or someone bringing someone else into the story.
One story connects to another.
Connect people. Create good stories.
Let opportunities follow.
