At my father Kalin Sarasin’s annual birthday gathering, something clicked for me.
What began years ago as a small golf tournament with around 25 people drew 170 players this year. Even more joined the party that evening.
But what stayed with me wasn’t the number.
People came from every chapter of his life: family, friends, former colleagues, former staff and people he has worked with across many organizations.
Different generations. Different circles. All still connected.
By the evening, titles didn’t matter. We had dinner, told stories, played music and sang together.
I’ve spent most of my career talking about spaces, events, branding and hospitality. But the part I’ve always cared about most is bringing people together and giving them a reason to return.
I’m moving into the people business.
Interaction matters. Showing up matters. And legacy isn’t just about what you achieve.
It’s whether people still want to show up for you after all these years.
